I cannot appreciate the "subtle" difference between EMT and firefighter in this case. A human being apparently lost her life due to an action performed by another person. What is the intention of the judge in this case - the accused "murdered" Michelle if she would have been considered to be acting as a firefighter, but NOT if she had been acting as an EMT? In such case, exactly what charges are to be made?
