We know you folks like our Training Minutes videos, but it's always gratifying to get notes from our readers telling us so. Here are a couple:

"Someone at my department turned me on to the training videos on the Web site. Now I have found many of us are watching and discussing them at work. They are really great. Thanks, and keep 'em coming." --Robert Wilhelm, FF/EMTP, St. Louis County, Missouri

"Just wanted to say I really like your Fire Engineering TV. Great videos with great tips." --Drue Holthe, Engineer, Montecito (CA) Fire Department

"Would like to say you guys have hit it big with the Training Minutes. I am a new captain and i will be using these a lot. I would like to know if you have any videos on opening up roofs in the Training Minutes archives. Thank you." --Captain P. Donaldson

"Great job with the training videos and the fire simulator program. We have been using both programs with our trainings. I feel these are both valuable tools! Thank you for providing them for us!: --Ricky Teter, Colorado

Thanks to everybody taking the time to write us and let us know how we can help you train better. In the end, it's all about the caliber of our instructors, and we've got several new Training Minutes series set to debut later this year.

As for Captain Donaldson's question above, Mike Ciampo will be doing a couple videos on roof venting techniques that will be aired in the upcoming months, so stay tuned.

After FDIC we started doing 15 minutes of training each morning before rig checks. THese videos are perfect for that purpose. Five minute or less video, ten minutes of discussion, then out on the floor.

Keep it up, look forward to more. Thanks to Pennwell for working to improve the fire service.
