One night at every RDH Under One Roof conference is devoted to a special off-site social event. In 2004, we went on a cruise in Norfolk. The following year in Chicago we had the choice of two different dinner/theater programs. Last year in Las Vegas, there was trip to a Cirque du Soleil performance.
This year, we had the opportunity to enjoy a relaxing dinner cruise on the Potomac River. Hundreds of UOR attendees and their guests spent Friday night enjoying a delicious buffet that had enough choices to satisfy everyone.
Both sides of the river are banked with densely wooded, rolling terrain. The sites, rich in history, are thrilling to see at night. Our nation's capitol, full monuments and buildings that we've seen for years, are beautifully lit.
We were entertained later in the evening by several superb vocalists and then had the opportunity to work off some calories as we danced the night away. It's amazing to see dozens of women line-dancing without skipping a beat.
Regardless of what PennWell has planned for Chicago in 2008 it's sure to be a fun way to unwind after a long day of learning.
